I guess this is what “food-to-go” would be like if you lived in Florence. A mother and son team cook and serve counter seating in this small little place. Most we saw were dining there but we did see folks come and get containers to go. There is a large wine selection and you just walk around and pull the bottle you want and then order from a chalkboard menu.

The son gave us the rundown of the trays of food in front of us, which were more of the second course options, while the pastas were prepared in the back. It was a clean and neat little shop with pretty comfortable seating. The son seemed to speak good English but I’m not sure he understood what we wanted to do and looked aghast when we asked if there were half orders of pasta. As is was the truffle pasta spelled lovely but there was so much of it, it got a little dull. The ravioli were tasty but again it was too much when we knew we wanted to try some of there other options. The artichoke pie was the standout and it did not grow tiresome. It was nice to have the puntarelle option, which is a typical Italian green. The stuffed rabbit didn’t have the needed amount of flavor but was tender and well sized in portion. The cake was a standout and it made me wish I’d also tried the chocolate one. Talk about ending on a high note – this did!
