The Spot Supper Club is located on Buskey Bay just off Highway H from Iron River, Wisc. It is a medium sized place that is only open for dinner.  The low ceilings, windows overlooking the lake and collection of unusual decorations all add to the cozy atmosphere.  Co-owners Pam and Kevin Jungst are always in the house with Pam at the door playing the roll of hostess unless she’s in the kitchen cooking and Kevin is the bartender and cuts all the steaks they serve. They usually have a nightly special as well a large menu and often offer special buffets for holidays.

It is a really small wine list but there is a full bar for beverage options.  This is not frilly food but instead a nice selection of supper club favorites, perfect after a day of fishing or leaf looking. We go for their beef, either steak or prime rib (Sat. night special).  Everyone starts with a relish tray of a few raw vegetables, crackers and ranch dressing.  If you get there don’t miss their housemade onion rings – thin, crispy, hot and filled with sweet onion flavor. They come in a half order size as well as whole, which is helpful if you intend to order a large piece of meat.  All dinners come with soup or salad and choice of potato.  The salads are accompanied by a selection of dressings, made in house.  After enjoying a half order of rings we ordered the mighty ribeye, a 20 ounce steak, with the baked potato which comes with butter and sour cream on the side. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert.
