Here is a good sized, very stylish bar and restaurant.  The small, closely set tables are in the middle of the lowly lit room.  Around the edges are cozy round booths that match the elegant large arc shaped bar.  Comfy chairs and bar seats finish out this amazing looking space that is located in a very non-descript strip shopping center.  The menu offers a range of small plates and larger ones but the beverage service is mostly liquor.  Portions run on the large side, so be prepared to split even the small plates.  A good selection of beers is available but the wine list is very small (one thing that would really improve this place).

Prices are reasonable but you can easily spend a fair amount of money if you buy food and a number of cocktails.  Even though there are acoustic tiles on the ceiling the room is very noisy and at the tables in the center, conversation is very difficult.  Service is friendly and attentive with well timed menu pacing.

We started with the Pimento Cheese served with crispy tasso ham, house potato chips and veggies.  The pimento cheese was bland and the tasso ham was barely recognizable.  The potato chips were house made and very crisp and tasty but had a hard time standing up to the thick pimento cheese.  It needed a stronger tasting cheese to make it work.  The vegetables were raw sticks of celery and carrots which both fared better in the dipping process.

The Fried Chicken Confit was served with buffalo sauce, blue cheese crema and celery salad.  There were 4 large pieces that were moist, crunchy and good.  The blue cheese could have been stronger but it worked okay for an accent of the nice pieces of chicken.  The salad mixed with it all and was a good foil for a residual greasiness.

For large plates we tried the Forest Mushroom Pasta that was linguine, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, capers, parmesan and white wine garlic sauce.  It was almost soupy with a jumble of flavors.  It was okay but I don’t think I’d order it again.

The Chicken Fried Ribeye is one of their specialties.  It is a panko crusted  ribeye with a shaved brussels garnish and duck fat gravy.  It was nice and crispy but the ribeye flavor just didn’t come through, nor did the duck fat in the gravy.

We had a side of Roasted Cauliflower with chimichurri which was heavily coated with the green but missed on the flavor portion.
