A 2-room place where I heard lots of English being spoken. A very casual atmosphere but still had nice linens and reasonable pricing. The staff warmed up nicely as the evening went on and were helpful in making selections. We only went wrong one way when we decided to split the rib plate rather than each have our own as the waitress thought it would be too much. The serving size was nicely moderate and we could have easily devoured 2 plates but this left us room to have desserts.
We started with the small mixed meat tray and it was all very nice. Again the bread was just so-so but bread is not necessary to enjoy this tasty selection of thin sliced meats.
The tortelli with the artichokes and parmesan was excellent. It was totally delicious. The grimagna did not have vegetables as some others have had but it was still okay, not great as I had hoped.
The aforementioned pork ribs were slow cooked then grilled. They were so tender and yet had a nice crisp on the exterior. The savoy cabbage they were served with was also quite nice. It would not be hard to eat a whole order of these.
For desserts we tried the zuppa inglese and the chocolate pudding turned out to be a bit pasty but the rice cake had a nice sweetness and a bit of a caramelized exterior.
