An absolutely charming and lovely spot for dinner with excellent food! A short ride from the main part of San Sebastian, it is a fairly casual room of about 10 tables with additional tables on a patio. They offer a tasting menu as well as a la carte selections and the waitstaff were quite agreeable to substituting a few items on the tasting menu. In fact the entire staff couldn’t have been nicer and more welcoming without being invasive. Overall the food has lots of wonderfully intense tastes and fine gelatinous sauces. A total winner!

Amuse bouche: Foie gras, truffle and sherry sauce – amazingly delcious
Blue fish (Txitxarro), salmon and tomato tartar with caviar
Roasted Norway lobster with ginger flavor, basil ravioli and green asparagus

Low temperature poached egg, foie gras cream, celery and truffle
Grilled squid and gelantinour broth “Pelayo” style
sole fish grilled with cockles, Old Sherry sauce and emulsified juice
Roast suckling pig, mashed potatoes and cumin flavored ftuit compote
Milk fed lamb, salad and mashed potatoes
Frankie admires the wine while playing with the corks
Sauted apricots and lemongrass sorbet
Cheesecake with yogurt and cheese ice cream and berry compote
cherry, strawberry and mint(spoon); chocolate truffle; applesauce; hazelnut crisp
