Eventide Oyster Co. is a large place and was super busy even in the late afternoon.  There were a couple rooms, one more with tables and the other with a large bar with stools, window counter seating and a couple tables.  There was art on the walls, lots of light (but also lots of windows to the street) and an area where the fresh oysters were on ice.  The counters along the bar and in the windows are made of concrete, the floor is wood, there is exposed ductwork and above is a tin ceiling.  The server came to get our drink order and we talked about what food to order but were advised to wait till you get your drinks and they were right.  Food service is very fast and so it is wise to make sure you have a drink when it arrives.  Service was additionally very friendly, efficient and helpful.  The food is really good in a casual setting.  They do offer a number of draft beers, few wines and a couple drinks.

With our food we chose to try a local draft beer called Bunker Machine.  It was tasty.

We started with lobster stew which contained coconut and green curry and was served with saltines.  It was amazing.  The broth was divine, filled with flavor and pieces of sweet lobster.  It was great with a couple pieces of the house made saltines to add some texture.

The Eventide Brown Butter Lobster Roll was also really good.  It was a soft roll stuffed with wonderful lobster.

The fried Maine oysters came with cabbage, Nuoc Cham and Malt Vinegar.  They were perfectly crisp while still having a juicy inside.  The mix of the oysters and the herbs and sauce  was a really tasty combo.

We also ordered a 12 of the raw oysters, mixed.  They had a number of types and gave of 2 of 6 different ones. They have a wonderful system there they line up the oysters on a tray of ice, side by side and then serve you a sheet of paper with them where the variety of the oysters is written in the same order.  It was much easier to keep straight than when the server brings them, names them and you forget it by the time they walk away.
