Brother’s Cafe 3:16 was a good sized place with indoor and outdoor dining, 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch. Located in a shopping center, there’s plenty of of free parking. Bright and clean there were seats at the counter facing the window to the kitchen as well as two sizes of bare wood tables. Red artificial blooms were striking decorations. Service was efficient, friendly and helpful. Portions were generous and the food was good. There was a large percentage of Mexican favorites but also plenty of standard breakfast foods. I would easily go again and suggest it as a dining option when in Paso Robles.

A breakfast side was a homemade cinnamon roll and I had to try it. It was a large bun covered with a white icing and cracked walnuts. Inside was a lot of cinnamon in the whirls of dough. The overall flavor was not as good as I hoped and the icing didn’t seem to have the richness needed. It was okay not great.
Salsa Verde Chilaquiles was made with corn tortilla chips tossed in salsa verde with 2 eggs any style (scrambled) then topped with sliced avocado, sour cream and queso fresco. It was supposed to be served with pinto beans but somehow it got hashbrowns. The green sauce had a nice amount of spiciness but my husband felt it missed something without the beans.
Huevos Rancheros was 2 fried corn tortillas topped with refried pinto beans and 2 eggs any style (over easy), salsa brava, avocado and queso fresco, then served with hash browns (or you can pick home potatoes). It was not spicy like the chilaquiles but the crispy bottom tortillas melded into the sauce and egg yolks for a winning combination of flavors and textures. This one really worked and was a favorite for both of us. The hashbrowns had a nice crisp on all sides with good potato inside. They were tasty alone but also great mixed with the eggs and salsa.
