
Cowlick’s Ice Cream was started by David and Johanna Jensen in the summer of 2001. In 2007 it was purchased by another couple, Nancy and Bill (unknown last names). They had been fans of the original store and wanted to continue the place’s dedication to using local, high-quality ingredients. The ice cream is produced in small batches and they are open daily. The large place uses a door off the street front and then you approach the large counter where you order. There are tables inside if you want to eat it there or many seemed to take it and walk outside. They offer a bunch of sundae and ice cream drink combinations but while we were there I only saw people get cones or cups of ice cream. The scoops are large and tasty. Not the best ice cream ever but certainly good enough to satisfy that ice cream urge. Hope you’ll try it.
