The Inn at Little Washington includes an afternoon tea with your stay there. It is served from 2-5 which gives you something to do while you’re waiting for your room check in at 4. What I couldn’t find out if there’s a way to come for tea if you’re not staying there. I would bet there is, but I would look elsewhere. You have a variety of their rooms to sit in and enjoy the tea service but the canapes were not nearly as good as the main meals here or across the street at Patty O’s. However, if you’re there, it’s included and you want a place to spend some time this is a good option. They offer a huge variety of teas to go with a selection of sweet and savory canapés.

Food
The savory snacks were a mini lobster roll which was good. A small quiche that had a lovely buttery crisp crust and a moist custardy interior. A salmon and cucumber sandwich was light and okay.

The sweet snacks were a canele which was warm with nice crispy edge. A lemon and blackberry tart was mostly lemon with a bit of blackberry in the middle. The filling was good much like the lemon curd they brought for your scone. Lastly was a berry scone which was quite crumbly and dry. They brought a trio to put on it – sour cream, lemon curd and berry jam – but it was so crumbly I don”t know how you’d be able to spread anything on it,

Gorgeous. My wife and I love afternoon tea service.
It can be really tasty. This was okay and I’m sure there are better ones out there. It simply was included with our reservation and a way to pass time waiting for the room to be ready, otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it.
