The Odeon Brasserie, NYC, 5/8/26

The Odeon Brasserie is a French-American place in the Tribeca neighborhood. Offering lunch, brunch and dinner it has a lively, casual vibe.  Located near City Hall it regularly has after wedding celebrations which it was the afternoon we were there.  A medium sized place it has a high tin ceiling, wood columns, music in the background, an outdoor seating option and white cloth covered tables that are topped with paper.  Lots of mirrors are on the walls and the front is all windows to the street. A bar area is separated from the dining room by a low wall. They offered an à la carte menu and also had some daily specials. Opening in 1980 they have long been on the dining scene due to friendly servers and tasty food. We had a nice lunch there and management came by and offered a free dessert to make up for the large wedding party next to us, even though we had not complained. Give it a try! Continue reading
