This small restaurant becomes much larger in the summer when they also open the building across from it and have outdoor seating. In the winter it is a wonderfully cozy spot where the owners are very present. The owner’s daughter presented us with the “drawn at the table” dessert menu and the owner helped us make our meal selections. They even have their own label of wine which was tasty and went well with the food.

My best advice here is to get their specialities – the lasagna was unlike any I’ve had but I didn’t leave a drop of it on my plate (they were nice enough to split a serving for all of us to have a try), the squash blossoms are delicious and our local companions reported that the fritto misto is among the best around and that was certainly the case in the bits I tasted. All the desserts were quite nice and most importantly the chocolate was very chocolatey and had the necessary addition of caramel for me! This is family cooking served at it’s best and we couldn’t have felt more at home here!
