El Taquito, Dallas, 6/29/16 & 7/25/16

El Taquito is located in a run down strip shopping center in East Dallas. It is old style Tex-Mex and is cash only.  They have a nice crispy chip and a good heat to their hot sauce, which is green rather than the usual red.  It is a taste that really grows on you and is good on most of the food. While they offer a large menu throughout the day, my favorite is to go for their lunch specials that are only &6.50, including iced tea.  It’s a great deal for a good flavor punch at a very reasonable price.

They can get quite a crowd which will fill up the in front street parking but there is a parking lot a couple doors over that offers free parking for it. Below are some of the lunch specials I like and recommend – the cheese enchiladas, guiso burrito, cheese taco and chalupas.  Their rice and beans are nice but tamales so-so.
