HUDA is “fast casual concept by Philadelphia based Chef Yehuda Sichel” who loves sandwiches. The sandwiches come on homemade milk buns and sourdough and they also offer salads. It’s a small shop with one indoor table and 4 outside ones. They do a lot of takeout. The menu uses seasonal and local ingredients and the staff were all super friendly. You go inside to place and pay for your order and then they bring it to your table. We went there for a late afternoon snack to split and it was perfect and really tasty. I’d go often if I had the chance.

We had the Maitake Mushroom sandwich with mozzarella, tomato, avocado, sour cream and chipotle. The mushrooms were large pieces that had been lightly breaded and deep fried. It was a small amount of avocado but that was well made up for with the gooey cheese and great sauce. The milk bun was outstanding- totally soft and fresh. A terrific sandwich.

With it we had an order of French Fries that came with a choice of sauce. On the counter person’s suggestion we chose Dijonaise, or spicy mustard. The fries were nicely crisp and well seasoned. One order was more than the two of us could eat. A perfect accompaniment.
