This Remedy Burger was in the historic part of downtown and there is another restaurant in Richmond. It was a medium sized place with a high ceiling, wood floors and a combination of seating with bench seating along one wall and high top tables along the opposite with more small dark wood tables in between. At the end of the room was the bar counter that also had stools for diners or drinkers. It started in 2022 and had windows to the street that featured some stained glass by the front door. It was a noisy spot with all the hard surfaces and the service varied in efficiency but was overall friendly. Their smashed burger patties are grilled to have a crispy edge around the patty. They come in all kinds of variations and the place was hopping with guests of all ages coming and going. The burger was plenty good so stop in and have one while exploring the downtown area. There’s a fabulous camera museum across the street on the next block that was fascinating.
Set-up

Food
The Remedy Burger is two smashed patties, American cheese, pickles, onion, shredded iceberg lettuce and Remedy sauce on a sesame bun. They cut ours in half so we could split one. It was generously sauced and the bun held up to it well. A nice blend of flavors and good meat but the standout part was that delicious crispy edge without the rest of the patty being dried out.

French fries come in small, large or basket sizes of plain or can be ordered as truffle fries (which seemed often ordered). We split a large fry as we didn’t want that much. The fries seemed to be a frozen variety but not the coated kind. They stayed nicely crisp with good potato flavor and they had real Heinz 57 ketchup.

Given the age of the building I suspect that might be a tin ceiling.
Burgers and old cameras are right up my alley!
Bet you’re right! Hope you’ll try it and be sure to hit that camera museum – it was really fun.
