Louie’s Bar and Bites was medium sized with a variety of seating options. There were stools at the bar and high top tables around the perimeter, next to the windows or you could grab a square ‘regular’ table in the middle. Television screens were mounted around the room and one was playing a sports talk show with the volumn up but not too loud. The room was decorated with lots of sports and beer signage. The look of the interior felt newish with some cute touches like the foot rail on the bar made out of pipe. The bar was well stocked but we were there more to taste their burger made from a local butcher’s beef cuts. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was okay.
Set-up

Food
The hamburger comes plain but we both wanted to add cheddar cheese(extra 50 cents) and grilled onions (extra 75 cents) and asked for medium rare cooking. I chose to have it as it comes with chips and my husband tried the fries. It was a medium thick patty with good flavor but no dripage. The soft bun was nicely toasted and the fried onions were tasty and added some needed fat. It was cooked more medium with little pink in the middle and there were several pickle slices under the chips if you wanted to add them. The menu had several combinations for burgers but I suspect they would dress it however you’d like. The 1/3 pound patty was plenty but not overly big. It tasted fine but not exceptional. The chips were a thick crinkle cut in a fairly generous pile. The fries were a small to medium uncoated fry that was dusted with seasoned salt. They were crisp and hot but not as generous a helping as the chips. My husband said they were quite tasty.
