When you do it right, we’ll be back and such was the case for this restaurant that we first tried earlier this year. Although our Texas friend/owner and her husband were not there you would never have known. We had a different waiter this time but he was just as friendly and helpful as last visit’s (the waiter from April came over to chat and show us the photo of his new wife!).

The place is lovely inside and combined with the wonderful service, it’s no wonder it filled up even off season. We went with the soft shell crab special for the night and it was perfect. The artichokes were so wonderful we asked if they could make a whole plate of just them and they were more than happy to comply. We also split their pasta with lobster and it was a perfect second course. The monkfish got a delightful flavor from the wrapped pancetta. I wish I’d still had some of their incredible bread to wipe both dessert bowls clean! A winner on all fronts!
